Good news for all of us who hope to live long, healthy lives:  a new study illustrates a striking revelation on long-term muscle integrity.  Turns out your muscles do not necessarily atrophy with age as long as they are regularly strenuously exercised.

“This study contradicts the common observation that muscle mass and strength decline as a function of aging alone. Instead, these declines may signal the effect of chronic disuse rather than muscle aging.”
